Food Security
PDS conducts in depth research and capacity building initiatives aimed at ensuring food security for vulnerable populations, this includes analyzing food production systems, promoting sustainable agriculture practices, and enhancing access to nutritious food.
Environment and Climate Change
PDS undertakes research on environmental conservation, natural resource management, and climate change adaptation strategies. Our capacity building efforts focus on empowering communities to mitigate environmental degradation and adapt to changing climate.
Resilience Issues​
PDS offers comprehensive expertise and support in addressing resilience challenges prevalent in dynamic environments, with a deep understanding of the complex interplay between socio-political dynamics, environmental factors, and economic pressures, our consultancy service equips our partners with tailored solutions to navigate and overcome resilience obstacles.
Land Tenure and Governance Research​
PDS conducts research on land tenure systems and governance structures to promote equitable access to land and prevent land related conflicts. We provide technical assistance to support the development of inclusive land policies and land-use planning processes.
Population Mobility and Migration
PDS examines the drivers and impacts of population mobility and migration, including forced displacement, rural urban migration, and cross-border movements. Our capacity building activities focus on enhancing the resilience of migrant populations and supporting host communities.
Pastoralism and Pastoral Issues
We supports pastoral communities in addressing the unique challenges they face, including access to grazing land, water resources, and market opportunities. We facilitate dialogue and collaboration among pastoralists, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable pastoral livelihoods

Socioeconomic and Environmental Baseline Surveys

Economic (Credit, Savings, Business Promotion)
PDS supports economic empowerment initiatives aimed at improving access to financial services, promoting entrepreneurship, and supporting small business development. We provide training and technical assistance to strengthen financial literacy, savings, and credit management skills.
